Today was a fun flight with The LP crew. We set a task, but I was worried I’d sink out over last chance so wanted to get high and make it out of the valley for fun.
I followed Arpan, probably 100ft below, but was losing too much altitude in comparison. Went back, topped up, then was concerned I’d be too low to make it over the top of the ridge to maintain and make it back to the Lz.
Was hoping to gain again over the valley but no such luck.
Forgot to turn on the vario until flight started.
