Cheese and Bacon Rolls

Makes: 18 rolls
Ingredients
- 70g butter (softened at room temp)
- 300ml full cream milk
- 3tsp yeast
- 500g bakers/bread flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1tsp salt
- 2tbsp milk powder
- 2tbsp oil
Egg wash
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1tsp milk
Topping
- 200gm chopped bacon
- 220gm grated mozzarella cheese
Method
- Warm milk in microwave
- Stir in yeast, wait a few minutes
- place in Bread machine: milk, flour, sugar, salt, milk powder, egg.
- Put Bread machine through dough cycle.
- Place on floured counter, divide and put into 18 rolls, shape and place on baking sheet
- Start preheating oven to 180c / 350f
- Cover, and let rise in some place warm for 45 minutes (or until doubled in size)
- Brush top with egg wash, place chopped bacon on top, sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until nice and golden
- Place on drying rack.
